Chelsea R. Larro

Chelsea R. Larro of Preston, Minn. received her commission as an officer in the United States Navy, Medical Service Corp. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in psychology (honors) from Mankato State University, she was accepted to Loyola University Chicago for her Master’s Degree in social work. Following graduation with her MSW, she began her post graduate training for licensure through the Navy’s highly competitive Health Service Collegiate Program (HSCP).

Chelsea completed one year of clinical rotations at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla. as well as the Lake City Veterans Hospital where she focused on treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and substance abuse disorders. Chelsea became a licensed clinical social worker in 2013 after completing 2,000 hours of clinical training to meet licensure through the state of Florida. LTJG Larro is currently an active duty officer serving at the Naval Hospital Okinawa, Japan where she works as a therapist in outpatient mental health.

She is a 2004 graduate of Fillmore Central High School and daughter of Ralph and Candy Larro of rural Preston. She is the great niece of Helmut and Ruth Miehlisch of Lanesboro.
