Award winning jewelry designer and goldsmith Michael Seiler of Crown Trout Jewelers, Lanesboro, MN has been awarded an Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board in the area of Visual Arts. Seiler will purchase studio equipment that will enable him to create more technically advanced casting and gemstone faceted work. He will offer a two-day casting and stone cutting workshop to the public during the summer of 2014. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
