Cow Calf Day

The University of Minesota Extension Beef Team will be holding the 2014 Cow Calf Day on Thursday, February 13. The registration and meal begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Heintz Center, 863 30th Ave SE, Rochester, Minn. 55904.

The topics to be covered include “Cow/Calf Economics” by Eric Mousel; “Feeding and Management of Preweaning Calves” with Nicole Kenney-Rambo; “Managing Herd Profitability through Alternative Feeds” by Alfredo DiCostanzo; and “New Thoughts and Strategies for Heifer Development” with Allen Bridges. Representatives from both the NRCS & MDA will have updates.
