On Sunday evening, June 6th, the Cherry Grove United Methodist Church will again be offering a "Cowboy Church" service open to all who may be interested. The service, which will begin at 6 pm, will include Christian Country and older gospel hymns. Leonard Leutink, Jr. (guitar & vocals) and Cindy Seabright (guitar & vocals) will be among our featured musicians, along with Barb Mosher on the Steel Guitar and several other regulars. Cindy Musolf from Hayfield will also be with us to do two or three numbers. Cindy sings primarily Country Gospel and also does some "Cowboy Yodeling."
A staple of many Cowboy Church services in other parts of the country is that anyone who is interested can bring their instruments and take part in the service, either by helping to lead singing or by providing special music. Any other musicians interested in participating should plan to arrive at least one hour before the service, or you can call the church ahead of time to let us know you'll be coming.
The next Cowboy Church service will be Sunday, July 4th, at 6 p.m.
The Cherry Grove church is twelve miles southeast of Spring Valley, one block east of County Road 5, or you can call the church office at 507-937-3177 for directions.
All are welcome to attend. Dress western and wear your best hat!
