LANESBORO, MINN. - "Over the Back Fence," a program of The Commonweal Theatre Company, presents a summer series of live music performances at the new Commonweal Theatre in historic, downtown Lanesboro. Enjoy the unique blend of folksy blues and stand-up comedy of Mike McAbee on Wednesday, July 7th at 7:30 pm.
Born and raised in Wisconsin, it was a trip to Nashville as a teenager that first inspired his interest in music and his taste in comedy comes from...somewhere else. An audience favorite as an annual musical guest on the "Over the Back Fence" radio show, Mike's concerts are made of a blend of country, blues, classic rock, and his own songs such as "Let's Strike It Middle Class", "I Like to Pee Outside", and "Marry and the World Marries With You, Divorce and You Divorce Alone." His CDs include "Live at the Elkander Opera House", "I Live in a Trailer", and "Those Darn Sock Monkeys!"
Tickets for the performances will go on sale at Commonweal Theatre's Box Office at 208 Parkway Ave N, Lanesboro, MN on the day of the concert. Admission prices for the concert are $15 for adults, and $10 for students (grade school through graduate school), Commonweal Season Pass holders, and members of Commonweal Theatre's Million Dollar Club.
The Commonweal is a non-profit professional theatre with year-round main stage and educational programming located in historic downtown Lanesboro. For more information, visit www.commonwealtheatre.org or call 800-657-7025.
