International award winner jewelry designer Liz Bucheit of Crown Trout Jewelers, Lanesboro, Minn. has been awarded a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board in the area of Folk and Traditional Arts. Influenced by her Norwegian ancestry and trained in traditional silversmithing, artist Liz Bucheit will complete her “Ibsen Adorned” collection and exhibit the finished work at the Commonweal Theatre’s 2014 Ibsen Festival in Lanesboro. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
