On September 3-5, four Farmers Co-op Elevator agronomists — Rich Botcher, Dan Miller, Mike McDowell, and BJ Rud — attended sales development training in Shoreview, Minn. WinField Solutions, a leading distributor of crop protection products and agricultural seed and one of Farmers Co-op’s industry partners, conducted the training.

Farmers Co-op Elevator knows it is important to invest in training to better serve its customers. All agronomists attend product and technology training to ensure that they are informed about the latest research and know how to use tools like WinField’s R7® precision agriculture tool to help their customers achieve the highest level of success.

During the recent three-day sales training, Rich, Dan, Mike and BJ learned how to better help producers in agriculture. Agronomy Division Manager Roger Taylor said, “Farmers Co-op Elevator understands our customers have specialized needs for their businesses, and they expect our agronomists to know how to efficiently and effectively help them determine what would work best for their operation. The sales training provided by WinField Solutions ensures our team can go beyond product knowledge to help their customers meet their goals.”

BJ Rud lives in Spring Grove, Minn. and works out of FCE Spring Grove, Dan Miller lives in Houston, Minn. and works out of Rushford, Minn., Mike McDowell lives in Eitzen and works out of Spring Grove, and Rich Botcher lives and works out of Houston.

Farmers Co-op Elevator Company is a member-owned cooperative serving farmers, rural households, gardeners and animal lovers in Houston, Fillmore and Winona counties in Minnesota and Allamakee and Winneshiek counties in Iowa.
