Preston celebrates “Taste of the Trail” on Saturday, September 21 at the Trailhead Park in Preston. Guests can enjoy biking along our scenic trails and also test taste local foods. But “taste” also includes non-edible samplings, giving visitors a “taste” of what Preston has to offer and a “flavor” for what defines our community.

Here’s a sampling of activities taking place between 10a.m. – 3p.m.:

•10-11a.m. – Live music by Country/Pop/Gospel artist Ron Haugen

•Take a short in-town interpretive bike ride or walk with a Forestville State Park Naturalist who will discuss wildlife, plants, geology, & cold water trout habitat environment along the Root River State Bike Trail. 10a.m. – Bike Ride, 11a.m. – Walk, Noon – Bike Ride

•11-11:30a.m. – Raptor & Snake program by Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center

11:30a.m. – 12:30p.m. – More live music by Ron Haugen

Additional activities include sampling local food products, take your photo with the Preston Trout Float, live alpaca exhibit, tractor display, Kid’s Health & Safety Day activities downtown, city wide garage sales, and the Preston Firemen’s Dance & Raffle held downtown in the evening.
