Area folks are encouraged to come out in support of the Ronald McDonald Cruise Ride on Sunday, July 28. Between 2 and 4pm, hundreds of motorcycles will line the streets around the courthouse square in Preston, Minn., all for the purpose of raising operational funds for the Rochester, Minn. Ronald McDonald House.

Welcome the riders, donate to their cause, listen to live music, and purchase a meal or treat from local businesses and other area fundraising organizations. Julia Claire Relay For Life Team: popcorn & freezies, Major Heroes Relay For Life Team: pulled pork sandwiches, St. Columban Catholic Church: water & root beer floats, Fillmore Central Baseball Team: variety of ice cream bars & frozen treats, National Trout Center: watermelon slices, Preston Fire Department: Hamburgers, chips, pop & water, LIONS: brats, chips, & water, Chic’s Pizza: pizza slices, Mercantile on Main: water & Gatorade, Preston Foods: strawberry shortcake. Play games for prizes at the Christ Lutheran Church youth booth. All groups have the option of adding a portion of their proceeds to the Cruise rider’s fundraising efforts.

Be sure to check out the live musical entertainment under the canopy in the east Courthouse parking lot. Guitar duo & vocalists Terry & Nan Lesser will perform classic favorites from 2-3pm, followed by the velvet voice of Country/Pop singer, Ron Haugen performing between 3-4pm.

A big “Thank You” goes out to everyone involved in the orchestration of this event. Your enthusiasm and dedication to the Preston community is applauded and appreciated.
