ST. PAUL, Minn. - Twenty-four soldiers from the 147th Financial Management Support Company are scheduled to return Friday to Minnesota after a nine-month deployment to Afghanistan.

"I am extremely proud of these soldiers," said Army 1st Lt. Joseph O. Stuber, 147th Financial Management Support Company Commander.

"The 147th Financial Management Support Company serviced more than 18,000 soldiers, Marines, sailors, airmen and Department of Defense civilians with finance and pay support at 28 locations of which 26 were in austere conditions," said Stuber. "The soldiers covered locations throughout four provinces in the eastern half of Afghanistan. They conducted a flawless mission and were recognized as one of the best finance companies in Afghanistan."

"Our soldiers were committed to the mission and served with great pride and enthusiasm," said Sgt. 1st Class LeRoy R. Weeres, 147th Financial Management Support Company Sergeant. "We are all excited to return to Minnesota with a sense of accomplishment and reunite with family and friends."

Members of the media and general public are invited to the initial reunion with families at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, July 12 at the Roseville Armory, 211 McCarrons Blvd. N., Roseville, Minn.
