Dairy night on the Farm will be held on June 29, 2013 at Boettcher Dairy near Wykoff, Minn. Curtis and Cheryle Boettcher are in partnership with their sons Brian and Chad to run Boettcher Dairy and are looking forward to hosting the event.

This is not the first event they have held with the American Dairy Association (ADA). Twenty years ago the Boettchers hosted the first ever Dairy Breakfast on the Farm.

This year’s Dairy night on the Farm will feature the American Dairy Association serving cheeseburgers, Hamburgers, Macaroni Salad, Beans and of course, milk, to visitors. The ADA will also have their malt and ice cream wagon at the event to serve visitors their frozen favorites.

The kids will surely enjoy the bounce house that will be on site as well as other activities. There will be calves available for the children to see and interact with, and the kids will get to tour the farm to see how a dairy farm operates and find out where the milk they drink comes from.

2013 Dairy Princess Margaret Alexander will also participate in Dairy Night on the Farm. Margaret is the daughter of Tom and Ruth Alexander of Canton, Minn. Margaret was crowned 2013 Dairy Princess on April 6, 2013.

The Boettchers are expecting a very large crowd as the farm is equipped with robotic milkers, and many people in the area are not familiar with robotics and have expressed their anxiousness to see the robots milk the cows.

Boettcher Dairy is located at 18688 State Highway 16, Wykoff, Minn. The hours of Dairy Night on the Farm will be 5:30 - 8:30 pm.
