Rushford, MN—More than 280 donors have contributed to the Rushford Community Foundation (RCF) in the past five years—and many of these donors give on an annual basis. This continued investment has made it possible for the foundation to grow its endowed funds, manage scholarships, host other charitable activities, and provide grants for community projects. With the fiscal, legal, and administrative backing of the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation, the RCF is now in its 15th year and continues to be locally governed by a volunteer board of directors.

To learn more about how the Rushford Community Foundation is impacting the area, please attend the Annual Membership Meeting on Friday, May 31 at 12 noon at Tri-County Electric Cooperative (Meeting Room), 31110 Cooperative Way, Rushford Village. According to RCF Bylaws, any person, corporation, or other organization that gives a donation to the foundation becomes a member for the year. The meeting will include brief updates on the foundation’s activities and funded projects from the past year and the election of new board members. RCF is very pleased to announce that Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation President & CEO Tim Penny will provide the key address.

Members and anyone seeking to learn more about the foundation are welcome to attend. Please reserve a lunch by May 27 by contacting Jennifer Hengel (e-mail: jenhengel@gmail.com, call: 864-3867). Visit www.rushfordcommunityfoundation.com for more information.
