Austin of Wykoff receives SMSU Scholarship

Marshall, Minn. -- Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, Minn., is proud to announce that Kelsey Austin, daughter of Tim and Cindy Austin of Wykoff, Minn., has been selected to receive an Alliss Scholarship for the 2013-2014 academic year. Recipients of this scholarship are recognized for their academic accomplishments and outstanding leadership abilities.

Her planned major fields of study are elementary education and early childhood education.

Founded in 1963, Southwest Minnesota State University experiences continual growth by serving students on-campus, online and around the state. Students enjoy a close working relationship with faculty and other students as well as a robust campus environment with over $100 million in construction over the past ten years including a new Student Center and Conference Center; Foundation Residence Apartments; a renovated library and science labs; a new Regional Event Center, home to Mustang Football and Soccer; and Sweetland Hall, a new 250-bed residence hall that opened in Fall 2009.
