Opening Night Entertainment At Winneshiek County Fair Announced

The 2010 Winneshiek County Fair opens Tuesday, July 6th in Decorah. A variety of regional and local talent is set to entertain on the main grandstand stage at 7 p.m. as Jeni Grouws and Friends returns.
Grouws, morning co-host on KDEC-FM100.5 in Decorah, says this year's lineup will feature an incredible variety of musical styles and performers:
Jeni and the band are back, with Lloyd Bolz, Mark Stumme, Erik Berg & Nori Hadley. Joining them on stage this year: Andrea Carlson of Decorah, James Lieder of Lime Springs, The Noise Downstairs from Prairie Du Chien, The Soviet Onion from Spring Grove, Miss Havishim (Ida Rotto, Ingrid Rog & Kasi Misseldine), Benny Boyd, coach at Luther College, Luther student, Johanna Mathews, Jim Womeldorf of Decorah, Clara Kittleson, Lydia Hayes, Anna Spencer and Aidan Spencer of Decorah, Emily Kurash of Ft. Atkinson & Erin Anderson from Lime Springs, the young group of Sean Trewin, Dylan Henning, T.J. Misseldine, Nick Vande Krol & Anders Wahlberg, all 8 & 9th graders, and a special treat this year:Tom Bourcier, debuting a HOT new song!
Grouws says the lineup is exciting, and the talent is sure to surprise and please the crowd.
The show is produced by KDEC Radio and begins at 7 p.m., preceded by this year's Karaoke Finals at 5 p.m. Admission is by ticket instead of button this year. A $15 advance ticket booklet allows admission to all 5 nights of grandstand shows.
This year's performers also include Country singer Kevin Morris Wednesday night, stock car racing Thursday and PRCA Rodeo Friday and Saturday nights.
