Judy Johnson, 70, of Harmony, MN passed away on March 16, 2013 from complications with Alzheimer’s Disease at the Sunrise Cottages in Rochester, MN. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Greenfield Lutheran Church in Harmony, MN. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. at the Greenfield Lutheran Church on Monday, March 18, as well as one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Greenfield Cemetery in Harmony, MN. Lindstrom Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Judy was born on May 12, 1942 in Peoria, IL to Roger and Eleanor (Marvel) Marlow. She grew up on the family farm and attended rural schools in Burr Oak, IA. She married William Klompenhower in 1959, and the couple later divorced. On September 2, 1978, she was united in marriage to Gerald Johnson. Together they lived in Harmony.
Judy worked in various healthcare facilities in Harmony and Preston, MN. She loved to read books, baking pies, gardening, and taking care of her cats and dogs.
She is survived by her husband Gerald; one brother, Richard Marlow of Decorah, IA; one daughter, Lorrie (Scott) Trouten of Harmony, MN; two sons, Alan (Pat) Klompenhower of Dayton, TX, Scott (Susie) Johnson of Rochester, MN; two grand-daughters, Hope Marlow of Stewartville, MN, and Jessica (JJ) Lemelle of Liberty, TX; and one great-grandson, Mason Stenzel of Stewartville, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Donna Lou.
The family wishes to thank all her friends and caregivers at the Heritage Grove in Harmony, MN and Sunrise Cottages in Rochester, MN.
