Are you ready for spring growing season? If so, the We Dig It Gardening Workshop may provide you with some great inspiration. The Houston County Master Gardeners and Caledonia Community Education are hosting their third annual gardening workshop on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 8:00 to 3:30 at the Caledonia Middle and High School.
This workshop is geared toward both novice and experienced gardeners. Keynote speakers for the event are Marilyn Frauenkron Bayer who will discuss how gardens can be an extension of your living space and Kathy Zuzek who will share the information in tried, true, and new shrubs. Breakout sessions include discussions on orchids, vegetable gardening, wildflowers, and replacement trees for the Emerald Ash Borer. The event also has vendors, a country store of new or gently used garden and household items, and a silent auction.
Registration by March 31, 2013, entitles you to: participation in two keynote addresses, your choice of three breakout sessions, all workshop materials, vendor display access, refreshments, and door prize entry. Onsite registration does not include lunch. The workshop registration fee is $25.00.
