Steve Fishbaugher, age 52 of Cresco, IA and formerly of Harmony, MN died Monday evening, February 18, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, Minnesota.
Steven J. Fishbaugher was born October 27, 1960 in Harmony, MN to Robert and Audrey (Patterson) Fishbaugher. He attended local schools graduating from Harmony High School in 1979. He married Crystle Shofner in 1985, they later divorced. For many years Steve worked as a maintenance person at Harmony Health Care. Since 2000 he was a forklift driver at Valley Design Enterprise in Fountain, MN. In his spare time Steve was an avid deer hunter and also enjoyed fishing, playing golf and pool, watching Nascar and was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings. Most of all Steve enjoyed spending time with his children.
Steve is survived by his longtime companion, Diane Venable of Cresco; two children, Zachary Fishbaugher of Preston, MN and Karli Fishbaugher of Caledonia, MN; Diane’s children, Ann Kovarik and Theresa Albert, Diane’s grandson Jay Dean Smith III; Steve’s step-father Orel Sinclair of Canton; his father Robert Fishbaugher of Harmony; five siblings, Larry (Jerilyn) Fishbaugher of Racine, MN, Jeffery (Kay) Fishbaugher of Dover, MN, Norene (Dan) Schwirtz of Caledonia, MN, Bryan (Jill) Fishbaugher of Harmony and Stuart Fishbaugher of Canton; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his mother, Audrey Sinclair.
Family and friends gathered for fellowship Saturday, February 23 at the Community Center in Harmony, MN.
