Doris Lillian (Peterson) Matson passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the of age 92, at her home in Harmony, Minnesota.
Doris was born March 15, 1920, to Alfred and Esther (Johnson) Peterson, in rural Lanesboro, Minnesota.
She married Donald E. Matson, September 17, 1938, at the Elstad Lutheran Church. They farmed in the Henrytown area for many years until they retired to Harmony in 1982
Doris enjoyed quilting as well as corresponding with numerous penpals over the years.
She enjoyed the many get- togethers with her large family and especially loved seeing everyone for her birthday celebrations and on holidays.
She is survived by her daughters, Donnis Trouten, Estherann (Tom) Jarland, Nancy (Ronald) Scrabeck, and one son, Donald John Allen (Toni); sisters, Joyce Jandro, Avis Larson and Margaret Ann McConnell; 15 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Donald, in March, 1990; son-in-law, Ronald Trouten; infant granddaughter; brothers, Percy and Jerry of Lanesboro, Roger of Harmony and an infant sister.
Funeral services were held at Elstad Lutheran Church in rural Lanesboro, Minn. on Thursday, February 14, 2013. Burial was in the church cemetery.
