Jerrold Tesmer, Extension Educator for Fillmore/Houston Counties
The keynote speaker for the 2013 Tour de Forage is Bruce Anderson, University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His topic will be “Benefits of Alfalfa in Crop Rotations & Soil Health.” The Tour de Forage will be held at the Clarion Inn (former Holiday Inn South) 1630 S Broadway Ave, Rochester MN. Registration begins at 9:30 am on Thursday, February 7.
Other topics and speakers at the Tour de Forage will be: “Feed, Forage, & Land Prices: What is a Producer to Do?”, Jim Paulson, University of Minnesota Extension; “Foliar Fungicides in Alfalfa: Effect of the Foliar Fungicide Headline on Disease & Yield in Alfalfa,” Deb Samac, University of Minnesota; “2012 On Farm Results & Recommendations for 2013,” Jeremy Hullopeter, BASF; and “What’s Going on at NRCS,” John Zinn, NRCS.
Preregistration is requested, but not required, to make adequate meal plans and efficient use of resources.
