Chatfield Napa store has added hardware

The Napa Store located at 103 1/2 Division Street NW in Chatfield, Minn. has begun selling hardware store related items along with car parts and accessories. The business began selling hardware items in November of 2011, and have made room for many items needed on a daily basis. According to owners Mike and Sylvia Steien they have everything “from nuts and bolts to the kitchen sink and beyond” at the Napa store in Chatfield. A person may be surprised by the vast number of items now available to them when they stop and shop at the Chatfield Napa store. The City of Chatfield has been in need of such items for purchase since the closing of the former hardware store in town, which is why the Steiens decided to expand their business in Chatfield to include assorted hardware.

Mike stated, “The public has been supporting us,” which is a very important aspect of the business, and the Steiens are grateful for the support from Chatfield and the surrounding communities. The Napa store in Chatfield may have an Open House in the future for the expansion of the business but “due to lack of elbow room we have not attempted one” said Mike.

When asked how much was entailed in getting the building ready to add additional hardware items, Mike stated, “We had to move about everything in the store to squeeze in what we have,” but added, “I plan to add more in the future.” Residents in Chatfield should be able to find those items they used to have to drive to Rochester to buy, while at the same time supporting a local business.

The Chatfield Napa Store currently employees two people full-time and three people part-time.
