Marilyn Reuter, age 81 of Harmony, Minn., died Friday, December 28, 2012, at the Gunderson-Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI.
Marilyn was born on February 27, 1931 in La Crosse, WI the daughter of Otis and Pearl (Ranger) Holman.
She graduated from High School in Westby, Wisconsin in 1948 and attended Luther College in Decorah, IA from 1948 to 1950.
She was united in marriage to Richard Reuter at the Westby, WI, Coon Prairie Lutheran Church on August 23, 1953. Marilyn taught elementary grades in the Harmony Public Schools from 1950 to 1963. She continued teaching as a substitute teacher in the Canton Schools. She also worked in the Harmony Hospital Office and was a bookkeeper for Pederson Brothers in Harmony. She was an active member in the Harmony United Methodist Church where she was organist for 44 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Beth Gutzman of Mankato, Minn., and two grandchildren, Tony and Jessica.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, Richard on October 26, 2010, her parents, two brothers and her parents-in-law.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 5, 2013, at the United Methodist Church in Harmony with Pastor Michael Smith officiating. Interment was in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Cresco, IA. Lindstrom Funeral Home in Harmony handled arrangements.
