Clarissa Jevne, age 14, Burr Oak, Iowa, died on Monday, December 31, 2012, at her home.
Clarissa is survived by her parents: Roger and JoDee Jevne, Burr Oak, IA; three brothers: Nicholas (friend Lacy Atkinson) Cresco, IA; Nathan (fiancé, Nicole Aldredge), Ridgeway, IA; and Mycole Jevne, Burr Oak, IA; nephews and niece: Xavier, Hunter and Brooke; grandparents: Jean and Robert Watson, Red Wing, MN; and Mark Rude, Winona, MN; great aunt and uncle: Harriet and Clayton Wangsness, Decorah, IA; aunts and uncles: Jennifer (Samuel) Flottum, Stewartville, MN; Glen (Karla) Jevne, Waukon, IA; Jim (Marsha) Jevne, Lawler, IA; Brenda (Steve) Kappes, Cresco, IA; Pam (Duane Hageman) Humpal, Ossian, IA; and John Jevne, Hesper, IA. Cousins: Sydney, Sierra, Kim, James, Paul, Evan, Stephanie, Shannon, Bobby, Katie and Emily; special friends: Christina & Brett Masek, Decorah, IA; godmother, Bekka Sagdalen, Lino Lakes, MN; Mary Thompson, Iowa City, IA; Selena Michel, Iowa City, IA; David Wilkinson, Dumfries, VA, along with many other aunts, uncles, relatives and close friends.
Clarissa was preceded in death by her grandparents: Robert and Emma (Hagerman) Jevne; great-grandparents: Howard & Norma Masters; Kenny & Rita Rude; Dean & Grace Hagerman; Emil & Hilda Jevne; and Lionel & Clarice Watson. Two great uncles: Kenneth and Richard Jevne.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 5, 2013, at the Decorah Lutheran Church, Decorah, IA, with Rev. Matt Larson presiding. Burial was in the Springfield Lutheran Cemetery, rural Decorah, IA.
