Roger C. Gronvold, 51, died of natural causes on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at his home in Rochester.
Roger was born in Rochester on March 2, 1961 to Clifton and Jane (Haugen) Gronvold. He attended Byron High School and graduated in 1979. Roger was active in music and was manager of the football and basketball team. He attended RCTC and graduated with an Associate Arts Degree in 1981. Roger had worked at Seneca Foods for over 30 years. He was an avid collector of sports cards and memorabilia.
Roger is survived by his mother, Jane Gronvold, of Rochester; three sisters, Bev Gronvold, of Rochester, Deb (Tom) Badger, of Rochester, and Pam Shulze, of Rochester; two nieces, Melissa (George) Cascino and Kristi (Josh) McGowan, both of Rochester; five nephews, Jason (Kim) Badger, of New York, Jeremy Shulze, of Rochester, Matt Badger, of Stewartville, Mike (Emily) Badger, of Duluth, and Adam (Sara) Badger, of Byron; five great nieces and three great nephews.
Roger is preceded in death by his father, Clifton.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 2124 Viola Road NE, with Rev. Fred Rengstorf officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
He will be missed by all.
