WAHS celebrating Christmas with annual tours and concert

The Wykoff Area Historical Society will celebrate the Christmas season 2012 with Home Tours on December 1st and a special Christmas Concert on the 2nd at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wykoff.
On Saturday, December 1, the Home Tours will feature three Wykoff homes beautifully decorated for the Christmas season. This year’s hosts are David and Darlene Eickhoff, Kathleen Keaton, and Janet Nolan. House tours will be open from 1pm to 5pm. Tickets ($7) may be purchased ahead at The Bank Gift Haus, and will be available at Ed’s Museum December 1 from 1pm – 4 pm.
On Sunday, December 2, the WAHS Christmas Concert, entitled “T’was the Birthday of a King,” will begin at 7pm at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Wykoff. Featured artists include soloist Novella Meisner, with accompaniment by Dr. Raymond Krueger on the organ, and Ron Haugen, a long-time musician from the Winona area. The Mountain Misty Boys, a group ranging in age from 13 -20 years old, will perform instrumental Christmas tunes on a variety of instruments. Kathleen Mulhern will offer some special readings, and audience members will be invited to sing Christmas songs. Light refreshments to follow.
Free-will offering. Supplemental funds may be provided by West Fillmore Thrivent Branch #31189.
