“Made in America” will be presented by Northern Lights on Sunday, November 18, 2012, at 3 p.m. at Decorah Lutheran Church, 309 Winnebago St., in Decorah. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. The women’s chorus, under the direction of Jane Kolarich and accompanied by Linda Gjerdrum, will present exclusively American music, including folk, religious, popular, spiritual, and patriotic genres. Instrumentalists Suzanne Ernst, Amanda Rudnickas, Lucas Griesheimer, and 4th grade vocalists from Carrie Lee School will compliment the arrangements performed by Northern Lights.
Lindsey Lund will perform several selections for organ based on early American hymn tunes, beginning at 2:45. Midway through the concert, local guest artists Erik Sessions and John Goodin will sing both folk and original selections.
All are welcome to a reception hosted by the members of Northern Lights following the concert.
