Exclusive sports products from Miken Sports in Caledonia is the prize for an upcoming challenge between two area Community Foundations. The Spring Valley Community Foundation has challenged the Preston Area Community Foundation to see who can have the most dollars donated to their endowment fund on one day – Thursday, November 15.
The Challenge is part of a Minnesota program called Give MN where individuals can donate to a non-profit organization and is called “Give to the Max Day.” The interest earned by each Foundation’s endowment fund it given to local groups who apply for assistance with their community projects.
The Foundation raising the most dollars on Thursday, November 15 will win four Miken bats and two sports bags that will then be given to Kingsland or Fillmore Central respectively. Donations must be made on-line. For the Spring Valley Foundation go to www.givemn.razoo.com/story/Spring-Valley-Area-Community-Foundation. To donate to the Preston Area Community Foundation, go to www.givemn.razoo.com/story/Preston-Area-Community-Foundation.
If you are unable to contribute on-line, contact Sheila Craig, 507.273.1481 for the Preston donation.
