Gary Wayne Halvorson age 58, of Lewiston, MN passed away at Winona Hospital on October 31, 2012.
He was born on November 2, 1953 to Sigurd & Mavis (Benson) Halvorson. He attended school in Lanesboro, MN and furthered his education at Winona Vo-Tech where he received his license in airframe and power plant.
Gary enjoyed the outdoors where he spent many years fishing and hunting gensing with his grandpa Leland.
He is survived by his brothers: Keith of St. Charles, MN, Michael (Heidi) of Rushford, two nephews: Cory (Nicole) of Germany, Dustin (Brianna) of Rushford; one niece, Desirae of Rushford, one great niece, MiKenna also of Rushford; 2 aunts: Inez (Duane) Snyder of Rochester and Lois Berekvam of Whalan, many cousins, and his friends at Park Towers in Rochester where he lived for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents and his uncle, Dorman Berekvam.
A memorial service will be held at Elstad Lutheran Church, rural Lanesboro, MN on Saturday November 10th at 11:00.A.M.
