Remodeling of the Fillmore County Highway Administration building at 909 Houston Street NW is scheduled to begin Monday, November 5, 2012. It is expected that the project could last up to five months. During that time, the County Engineer, engineering staff and support staff will be housed in the lower level of the Fillmore County Office Building in the Information Systems Suite at 902 Houston Street. Brent Kohn, Maintenance Superintendent, and Jeff Brand, Surveyor, will stay at the Highway Building.
Highway telephone numbers will remain the same throughout the remodeling: 507.765.3854 (765.4476-fax). The Highway mailing address will remain the same: PO Box 495, Preston, MN 55965.
The County Board wants you to know that existing financial resources are being used to pay for this project. Remodeling was initiated due to on-going problems with the roof leaking, failing mechanical systems and health and safety issues due to mold. We appreciate your patience during this upgrade to County facilities.
