Ruth Ann Dohlman age 65 of New Hampton died Thursday afternoon, October 18, 2012, at the 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City after a lengthy illness.
Ruth was born on May 2, 1947, in Aplington, Iowa the daughter of Eime and Irene (Lindaman) Dohlman. She attended rural country school near Le Roy, Minnesota. Ruth graduated from Riceville High School in 1965. After graduation Ruth took a job with Hillandale Farms in New Hampton. She worked for the company for over forty years, retiring in 2007.
Ruth loved gardening and tending to her flowers. She also had a passion for crocheting, collecting dolls, going to bingo, and attending garage sales. Every year Ruth looked forward to going to Paradise Point Resort on Leech Lake.
Survivors include two brothers, Dennis (Carla Greenlee) Dohlman of Bristow, IA, and Bob (Julie) Dohlman of Chester, IA; two sisters, Mavis (Jerry) Ptacek of Fredericksburg, IA, and Carol (Dale) Throckmorton of Wykoff, MN; one sister-in-law, Renae Dohlman of Le Roy, MN, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Jeff Dohlman.
Funeral Services were held Monday, October 22, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church, Le Roy, Minnesota with Chaplain David Byrd presiding. Interment was at Le Roy Cemetery.
