Darrell Lobland
Darrell Lobland, 69, of Wykoff, died Friday, October 5, 2012, at the Olmsted Medical Center in Rochester.
Darrell was born on February 13, 1943, in Austin, Minnesota the son of Glen and Freda (Bremseth) Lobland. He attended school in Kellogg Minnesota. On March 8, 1961, he enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas. He was discharged on March 14, 1964. He was a union carpenter for many years. Darrell enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan.
He is survived by three daughters: Jodi Dahl (Todd Rye) of Wykoff; Marni (Bill) Woltz Spring Valley; and Katie (Ben) Rowland of Fountain; six grandchildren: Mandi, Megan, Samantha, Mavis, Gavin, and Louis; one great-grandson, Dominick; his mother Freda, Rochester; one sister, Sandra Peterson of Sedalia, Colorado; two nephews, and a special daughter, Shari Gartner.He was preceded in death by a daughter Keta and his father Glen.
A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Fillmore Cemetery, Fillmore, Minn., with Gary Kneeskern delivering the service address. Military graveside rites were performed by the Lanesboro American Legion.
There was a luncheon following the graveside service at the Wykoff Community Center.
