Community Notification meeting scheduled to discuss Level 3 Predatory Offender in Cherry Grove

The Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office is releasing information pursuant to Minnesota Statute 244.052 to the community regarding a Level 3 Predatory Offender. This offender is not wanted by the police and has served the sentences imposed on him by the court.
George Robert Van Fossen moved into a temporary address near rural Cherry Grove (Fillmore County) on 10-02-2012. He has been convicted of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the First Degree with a child under the age of 13. The victim was a female and the contact included penetration.
A Community Notification Meeting has been scheduled for October 17, 2012, at 6:00pm at the Cherry Grove Community Center. Representatives from the Department of Corrections, Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office and the Fillmore County Attorney’s Office will be available to provide you with useful information on public safety.
