Holiday Open House at Repeat Boutique

Saturday, November 3 from 10:00 a.m. until noon, Julia-Claire Repeat Boutique will host a holiday open house to introduce several of its artisans.
JuliaClaire Repeat Boutique has gained 210 Consigners in the past six months and each week, the number continues to grow. JuliaClaire features new and gently used, better clothing, shoes and accessories for women, men and children, books and distinctive home accessories, but what many do not know is that it also features beautiful original art created by Minnesota Artisans.
Trish Keating, owner of the boutique says, “I have six textile artists creating everything from doll clothing to scarves and quilts as well as a wood artist and a metal artist, a jewelry and a plant designer, two photographers and a graphic designer who all contribute their talents, creating unique art. I am hoping with this open house, shoppers will consider spending some of their holiday shopping dollars locally by purchasing handmade items by Minnesota Artisans.”
Several local Artisans will be present during Saturday’s Open House to kick off the holiday shopping season. One of the local artisans featured at the event is Preston native and resident, Arlene Woellert.
Woellert’s American Girls doll clothing will be one of the highlights of the event. Her creations are one of a kind and made from clothing that Keating was unable to sell in her boutique. “When sorting through items for the shop, I would come across pieces that were in great shape other than having a spot that could not be washed out or a tear that could not be mended. Those items would go to Arlene to use for her doll clothes. This not only makes her creations more affordable, it is a way to repurpose items that may have been thrown away,” explains Keating.
