Voters will be able to learn about Minnesota legislative candidates’ views on agriculture and rural issues at a forum Thur. Oct. 4, 7 pm, at the Fillmore County North Office Building in Preston, Room 108.
Hosted by the Southeast Minnesota Ag Alliance, and co-sponsored by the Minnesota Corn Growers, the Fillmore County Pork Producers and the Fillmore County Farm Bureau, the forum will give candidates the opportunity to express their ideas on topics related to agriculture and other issues affecting rural Minnesota. A panel of representatives from the sponsoring organizations will ask questions of the candidates.
Invited candidates include: Nathan Neitzell (IR – House Dist. 27B), Jeanne Poppe (DLF – House Dist. 27B), Mike Benson (IR – House Dist.26B) Pat Stallman (DFL – House Dist. 26B), Adam Pace (IR - House Dist. 28A), Gene Pelowski (DFL – House Dist. 28A), Greg Davids (IR – House Dist. 28B), Ken Tschumper (DFL – House Dist. 28B)Linden Anderson (IR – Senate Dist. 27), Dan Sparks (DFL – Senate Dist. 27), Jeremy Miller (IR – Senate Dist. 28), and Jack Krage (DFL – Senate Dist. 31).
The forum is open to the public. It will also be broadcast live on KFIL Radio. A similar forum will be held Oct. 16 in Dodge County with candidates from districts in that area.
