Martin and Ethel enjoyed many trips over the years sponsored by International Harvester, In 1988 Martin, his niece Lisa and sister Hannah traveled to Norway to visit his ancestral home. Upon retiring Martin restored a number of gasoline pumps, a cutter sleigh and occasionally other antiques.
