Kelly Printing and Signs of Preston, Minn. has expanded their workspace with the addition of another building. Owners Brad and Mike Kelly were in need of more space, and the new building will be perfect for vinyl installs with a large open area to do vehicle wraps. The upstairs area of the new building has additional space for an added work area, a small shop area, and a break room.

Kelly Printing and Signs “kind of evolved” said owner Mike Kelly, to what is has become today. Mike and Brad’s parents, Richard and Esther Kelly, started the Fillmore County Journal in Preston, Minn. in 1985 and expanded with offset printing, becoming “Kelly Printing” in addition to the Fillmore County Journal. In 1996, they sold the Journal but continued with their printing business.

Mike and Brad then started designing and making signs and lettering for vehicles in their business, FCJ Signs, in Harmony, Minn. Eventually screenprinting was added which they did in Brad’s garage in Fountain, Minn. and began expanding their services. In 1999, they moved into their current building and became “Kelly Printing & Signs.” The business now has eight employees, including Andy Kelly, who is a certified 3M Preferred Graphics Installer.

Kelly Printing and Signs does printing, screenprinting, embroidery, vinyl wraps, digital printing and offset printing and sells promotional items. The business is also the place to find Redwing shoes and Carhartt apparel.
