Alice “Marge” M. Kreter, 86, died Thursday, September 6, 2012 at St. Marys Hospital.
Alice Marjorie Molda was born to Albert and Alice (Keller) Molda on March 12, 1926 in Viola, MN. Marge attended school in Douglas, Pine Island, Viola and graduated from Rochester High School. She married Paul J. Kreter on October 12, 1946 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester. Marge was secretary for C.O. Brown Insurance Co. for many years and at Trinity Lutheran Church for twenty-seven years. The couple enjoyed duck hunting in the early years of their marriage. She also enjoyed gardening, baking, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren. Paul and Marge were members of Trinity Lutheran Church for sixty-five years.
Marge is survived by her husband Paul, Rochester, MN; their two sons, Daniel (Jeanne) Kreter-Killian, San Francisco, CA and Leigh (Dianna) Kreter, Harmony, MN; seven grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Dale.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, September 10, 2012 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Viola, MN at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2012.
Memorials are suggested to Central Lutheran School and Trinity Lutheran Church both in Rochester, MN. Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place N.W., Rochester, MN 55901, 507-289-3600, www.ranfranzandvinefh.com.
