NOTICE OF FAA APPROVAL: FINDING OF NO SIGNIFICANT IMPACT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced an approved Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the above-ground fuel facility at the Fillmore County Airport in Preston, MN.
The proposed project includes the installation of a 2,000 gallon above-ground fueling tank on a new fueling island located on the west end of the hangar area near the fixed based operator building.
The FONSI indicates the project is consistent with the existing environmental policies and objectives as set forth in the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment. The Proposed Action includes short term, minor construction impacts and a slight increase in impervious pavement.
In accordance with the current Council on Environmental Quality regulations, copies of the FONSI and supporting documentation will be available for review at the following locations during regular business hours through September 10, 2012: Federal Aviation Administration, Airports District Office, 6020 28th Ave S, Rm 102, Minneapolis, MN; Minnesota Department of Transportation, Office of Aeronautics, 222 E. Plato Blvd, St. Paul, MN; and the Fillmore County Courthouse, 101 Fillmore Street, Preston, MN 55965.
