July 24, 2012 County Board Meeting
The Fillmore County Board met in special session at the Courthouse in the City of Preston. All members were present. Also present were the Coordinator/Clerk, and other department heads and staff, citizens, and two members of the press.
The following resolutions were adopted by the Board:
NONE
The Board approved the following agenda items:
• the amended agenda.
• the following Consent Agenda:
1. July 10, 2012 County Board minutes.
2. Regular status for Jeff Dyreson, Traffic Sign Technician.
3. Extend Family and Medical Leave for employee #1165.
4. Family and Medical Leave of Absence for employee #1105.
5. Step increase for Jonathan Holger, Child Support Officer.
6. Overnight stays for three attorneys to attend annual Criminal Justice conference.
7. Payment of 3rd quarter SELCO appropriation.
8. Renewal of maintenance agreement for Backup Exec with dcVast.
9. MN Lawful Gambling (LG220) Premises Permit Application for Deer Creek Long Spurs National Wild Turkey Federation raffle at Root River Country Club on September 8, 2012.
• expend UCare grant funds for program supplies.
• Fillmore County to serve as fiscal agent for additional Minnesota Department of Health funds.
• hire Karin Jergenson and Kala Urban, Home Health Aides on an intermittent basis.
• addition of Emergency Management/Assistant Jail Administrator and Lead Dispatcher positions to union agreement.
• appoint Deputy Kevin Beck as replacement Emergency Management/Assistant Jail Administrator.
• advertise in-house for Spring Valley Deputy and Lead Dispatcher positions at union scale.
• Assistant Zoning Administrator position as classified by Bjorklund Compensation Consulting, LLC, and appointed Cristal Adkins as Assistant Zoning Administrator.
• advertise in-house to fill vacant Merit Office Support Specialist position.
• purchase of upgrade to Barrier 1 Firewall Option 2 plus yearly maintenance.
• construction management services proposal from Construction Analysis and Management, Inc. for Highway Administration Building project.
• proposal for construction management services for on-site supervision at two days per week from CAM.
• subordination of loan for Root River Country Club.
• Amendment No. 1 to agreement #L-207 for five years with State of Minnesota for Department of Natural Resources use of tower space for an antenna.
