Preston Area Community Foundation awards grants to the Preston Historical Society and Chamber of Commerce

Dwight Luhmann, Chair of the Preston Area Community Foundation, recently presented grants to Richard Petsch of the Preston Historical Society and Jon Haugan of the Preston Chamber of Commerce.
The Preston Historical Society was awarded $600 for the restoration of the windows in the 1951 Milwaukee railroad caboose which will be located near the Milwaukee elevator at the trailhead in Preston.
The Preston Chamber of Commerce was awarded $1,000 for the restoration of the two-headed, Preston booster car, which will be used to promote the City of Preston.
The Preston Area Community Foundation awards grants to local projects which is made possible by support received from individuals, corporations and foundations. These grants are used to further the mission of the Preston Foundation which is to serve the greater Preston area by supporting programs and projects that improve the quality of life and build a stronger community.
