Funeral services for Verdetta “Jacki” S. Crandall, 84, of Rochester, MN will be 11:00am on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. James W. Heining officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00pm on Friday, August 3, 2012 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and also 1 hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
Verdetta Sylvia Crandall was born on September 19, 1927 in Viola Township to Otto and Elizabeth Nesler. She died on July 31, 2012 at the Samaritan Bethany Home on 8th. She graduated from Eyota High School and in 1962 from the Minneapolis School of Automation for Key Punch.
Verdetta worked at the Rapid City, SD School of Mines, Yellow Cab in Rochester and as a Regional Manager for Motherhood Maternity. She married Earl O. Crandall and they were later divorced.
She is survived by a son, Daniel (Lori) Crandall of Douglas, MN and a daughter, Twanna (Jim) Buske of Rochester, MN; five grandchildren, Chad Crandall, Corey (Brad) Deml, Tavanna (John) Porter, Dane Buske and Chelsie (Matt) Forys; five great grandsons, Jack Crandall, Christopher and Gavin Buske, Cassius Porter and Gibson Forys; four great granddaughters, Imogin Forys, Lilly Buske, Lucy Deml and MayRose Porter; a brother, Bernie (Ellie) Nesler of Rochester, MN and three sisters, Beverly Grossman of Minneapolis, MN, Ina (Bob) Kelly of Elk River, MN and Faye (John) Fehribach of Florida. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, her parents and four sisters.
