On Sunday evening, August 1st, the Cherry Grove United Methodist Church will again be offering a "Cowboy Church" service open to all who may be interested. The service, which will begin at 6 pm, generally includes Bluegrass, Country Gospel, Christian Country and Cowboy music. Steve Arnold and Walter Bradley will be among our featured musicians this month, along with Barb Mosher on the steel guitar and several of our regulars.
A staple of many Cowboy Church services in other parts of the country is that anyone who is interested can bring their instruments and take part in the service, either by helping to lead singing or by providing special music. Any other musicians interested in participating should plan to arrive at least one hour before the service, or you can call the church ahead of time to let us know you'll be coming.
The next Cowboy Church service will be Sunday, September 5th, at 6 p.m.
The Cherry Grove church is located twelve miles southeast of Spring Valley, one block east of County Road 5, or you can call the church office at 507-937-3177 for directions.
All are welcome to attend. Dress western and wear your best hat!
