FC Band performs at small group contest

The Fillmore Central High School Band Department performed at the MSHSL Small Group Music Contest Tuesday night in Rushford, MN. 82 members of the FCHS Band participated in this event, involving 17 total solos and ensembles. All 17 groups from Fillmore Central earned the top, or “Superior” rating for their performances. Three groups earned perfect ballots: The FC Jazz Ensemble, The Trombone Ensemble, and the Tenor Sax Trio. Two groups earned “best in site” recognition for the entire evening. They were the FCHS Jazz Ensemble and the Tenor Sax Trio of Sam Hanson, Danielle Zinsmaster, and Tyler Christensen.
