Geraldine Frances (Egge) Lotero age 84 passed away March 15, 2012. She was born July 6, 1927, in Lacrosse, Wisconsin to Christian and Ruby (Skrukrud) Egge. She was a graduate of Lanesboro High School and the Methodist-Kahler School of Nursing. She also received her degree in Community Mental Health from UCLA.
She married Antonio M. Lotero on April 20, 1972, in San Francisco, CA. She then moved with Mr. Lotero to his home in Bogota, South America, where she was a homemaker. He preceded her in death November 24, 1981.
Mrs. Lotero worked many years at Worrall Hospital in Rochester. Geraldine was Director of Nursing at Town Hall Estates until her retirement. She was an active member of Zumbro Lutheran Church and the Women’s circle. She was a member of the Methodist-Kahler Nurses Alumni Association, Lanesboro Historical & Preservation Association. She also was involved with the many activities at Fontaine Towers where she lived the past 10 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and two half brothers. Her passing leaves a void in the Egge and Lotero families which she was such an active part of, her smiling face and words of inspiration and lively spirit will be missed at family gatherings.
A memorial service honoring her life and what she meant to so many was held Saturday July 21, 2012, at Zumbro Lutheran Church. Inurnment followed in the church columbarium.
