Dedication celebration at the Fillmore Church

The public is invited to the Dedication Celebration of the new building addition of the Fillmore Free Methodist Church on Sunday, April 22. This Christian Life Center expansion includes a large fellowship / recreation hall; entryway; and storage room. Incorporating suggestions from the church leaders and congregation, the Fillmore Church Building Committee of Ken Baker, Dale Benike, Kent Erding, Dave O’Byrne, Dave Roberts, Dale Shafer, and Pastor Mike Hopper drew up plans, and the ground breaking was on June 26, 2011.
An “Open House” for the community will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Members of the Building Committee will provide tours of the Christian Life Center (and, if requested, tours of the previous construction completed five years ago). Pictures of the construction will be projected, and snacks will be
provided.
Superintendent Mark Adams (from Evanston, IL) will lead the congregation in a ritual of dedication in the morning worship services at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. According to Pastor Mike Hopper, “This expanded facility will serve as an important tool in helping us minister more effectively to children, youth, and adults, and to accomplish our mission to ‘plant spiritual seeds through evangelism, cultivate spiritual growth, and harvest dedicated workers and leaders for Christ.’” For more information about the Fillmore Church, contact Pastor Hopper at (507) 352-5455.
