Lanesboro Arts Center Receives $100,000 Capital Grant from McKnight Foundation

Lanesboro, Minnesota: Lanesboro Arts Center has been awarded a grant of $100,000 from the McKnight Foundation to provide capital support for the development of the Lanesboro Arts Campus, which includes the Lanesboro Arts Center gallery building, the St. Mane Theatre, art in public spaces, and community collaborations. “This is very exciting news and an incredible endorsement for our vision from the McKnight Foundation. This grant was made possible in part by the City of Lanesboro’s support for the arts over the past decade. We are very grateful for the community and regional support we have received as we move forward with the Lanesboro Arts Campus,” says Executive Director John Davis.
The McKnight Foundation seeks to improve the quality of life for present and future generations through grantmaking, collaboration, and encouragement of strategic policy reform. Founded in 1953 and independently endowed by William and Maude McKnight, the Minnesota-based Foundation had assets of approximately $1.9 billion and granted about $91 million in 2011.
