AARP Tax-Aide coming to Lanesboro

AARP Tax-Aide is a free tax prepration service for low and moderate income taxpayers with special attention to those age 60 and older. It is the largest free, volunteer run tax assistance, form preparation and filing service offered to taxpayers.
This service will be available by appointment beginning February 15 and continuing through April 15. The location for appointments will be at Kenilworth Apartments, 507 Kenilworth Avenue, Lanesboro.
Taxpayers will be asked to bring prior year(s) tax return, picture ID and SSAN, current year’s tax documents such as W-2, 1099, property tax statement, evidence of deductibles-- in short, all of documentation that supports income, expenses, and eligibility for the various and many tax adjustments and credits. The volunteers will help you sort through those which are pertinent and those which are not.
