Lois M. Alfson, 83, of Harmony, MN passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012, at the Stewartville Care Center in Stewartville, MN.
Lois was born in Harmony, MN to Tracy and Mabel Yeoman on February 19, 1928. She married Morris Alfson, Sr. in Harmony, MN on April 4, 1945. Lois lived in Harmony most of her life, where she enjoyed bowling, golfing, knitting, crocheting, and riding her horses. She worked for 22 years for Northwestern Bell Telephone in Preston and then Rochester.
She is survived by her sons, Morris and Dennis (Gayle), and daughter, Lynell Shanks, all of Harmony, MN; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris, an infant daughter Virginia, three brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at the Greenfield Lutheran Church in Harmony, Minn. Burial was in Greenfield Cemetery in Harmony, Minn. Lindstrom Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
