Glenn E. Fossum, 63, of Harmony, died at his home of cancer on Sunday, April 16, 2000.
Glenn Eugene Fossum was born on April 16, 1937 in Iowa City, IA, the son of Thor and Irene (Bryant) Fossum. He was confirmed in 1953 and attended school in Preston. In 1957 he joined the Army. After serving two years he returned to Preston and worked for various farmers. Glenn was united in marriage to Bonnie Hongerholt on July 29, 1961. In April 1968 he started working for Harmony Agri Services were he worked until his retirement in November 1999. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, music, going to Winona on the weekends, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; a daughter, Glenda Fossum of Winona, five brothers Ardell (Bonnie) Fossum of Canton, Bob (Joyce) Fossum of Canton, Curtis Fossum of Monticello, MN, Arden Fossum of Mabel, and Richard Fossum of Preston; two sisters Janice (Vernon) Soland of Pine Island, and Doris (Darrell) McCabe of Lanesboro; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory M. Fossum, his mother and father, a brother, Donald, and a sister, Dorothy Soland.
The funeral service for Mr. Fossum was held Wednesday, April 19, 2000 at Greenfield Lutheran Church in Harmony with the Revs. Jonathan and Ann Sorum officiating. Burial was in the Greenfield Cemetery.
Lindstrom Funeral Home in Harmony was in charge of arrangements.
