Marie A. Barth

Marie A. Barth, 92, of Chatfield, died Friday, April 28, 2000 at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield.
She was born October 4, 1907, in Columbus, WI, and graduated in 1925 from Spring Valley High School. On June 5, 1929, she married Russell Barth in Spring Valley. She also lived in Stewartville for six years, and moved to the Chatfield area in 1940. She worked at Wedding World in Rochester and in the laundry at Chosen Valley Care Center.
Survivors include her daughters, Sister Joy Barth of Rochester and Shirley (Mrs. Roy) Finn of Chatfield; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Alice (Mrs. John) Scanlan of Eyota. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, and one brother.
The funeral for Marie A. Barth was held Monday, May 1, 2000 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. Dan Derek officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Chatfield. Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield was in charge of arrangements.
