Murlie Beese, age 70, of Faribault, formerly of Wykoff, died Monday, May 8, 2000 at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault.
She was born in Fillmore County on February 25, 1930, the daughter of Harold and Laura (Bower) Mosher. She graduated from Wykoff High School in 1948. She married Gerald R. Beese on April 2, 1950 in Wykoff. They lived at various places around the country before moving to Waseca in 1978. She moved to Faribault in 1998. She enjoyed spending time with her family, baking cookies and sports.
She is survived by one daughter Debra Beese of Edina; two sons Daniel (Gail) Beese of Huntertown, IN, Douglas (Linda) Besse of Decatur, IL; son-in-law Raymond (Jennifer) Cook of Williamstown, MA; seven grandchildren Kelli Beese, Kristi Beese, Bree Cook, Austin Turner, Ryan Cook, Michael Beese and Matthew Beese. She is also survived by her mother Laura Mosher of Wykoff; two sisters Connie (Bill) Bicknese of Wykoff, June (Paul) Finke of Boynton Beach, FL; one brother Gordon (Barb) Mosher of Spring Valley. She was preceded in death by her father, her husband in 1996, and one daughter Sandra Cook in 1989.
Funeral services for Mrs. Beese were held Saturday, May 13, 2000 at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca with Revs. Gary Wunderlich and Ray Ades officiating. Burial was in Blooming Grove United Methodist Cemetery in Blooming Grove Township, Waseca County.
